Usually 1–2 days from receipt of all documents.

Certificates available

The Embassy can issue a certificate certifying entries in your passport or OCI card, such as:

  • date of birth;
  • parents' names;
  • place of birth;
  • marriage;
  • change of name on the passport;
  • Indian nationality;
  • residential address in India.

The Embassy issues a certificate titled “To Whomsoever It May Concern” certifying the facts strictly as per the entries in your passport or OCI card records. No certificate can be given for an entry that does not match the passport or OCI card. For example, a certificate of address in India can only be issued for the address in the passport; for a different address, first get a new passport with the new address.

This service may be applied for by post.
