Attestation of Commercial Documents

Please note

• The Embassy attests commercial or company documents only if the company is incorporated in Chile and the documents are required to be presented to authorities in India.
• You can apply in person or send the documents by post.
• The Consular Officer may refuse to attest documents that are objectionable or contrary to the rules.
• All documents of a commercial nature must first be apostilled and attested by the Chilean authorities before being presented to the Embassy.
• A translation of such certificates is mandatory, and the translation must be from the Chilean Foreign Office.

Documents required

1. A request letter on the company letterhead, stamped with the company seal and signed by one of the directors, with a copy of the incorporation certificate or SII registration duly legalised by the relevant Chilean ministry.
2. All commercial or company documents, duly legalised by the Chilean Foreign Office.
3. Misc. Consular Service Application Form PDF, filled in by the owner or a director of the company. Affix a photograph on the form: 2 inches × 2 inches (5 cm × 5 cm), white background.
4. Copy of the Chilean passport or OCI card (first and last page) of the applicant.

How to pay

Only electronic transfers are accepted. Cheques, money orders, credit cards, debit cards and cash are not accepted.

Please attach a copy or screenshot of the payment to your application. Fees once received will not be refunded under any circumstances, even if the application is withdrawn or the case does not qualify for the service.

Where to submit

The Embassy of India will not accept any responsibility if a courier is lost, misplaced, damaged or delayed.
